Pneumonia symptoms info
Written by oa on January 10, 2012 – 9:44 pmThe most common cause of a bacterial pneumonia is Streptococcus pneumoniae. The typical pneumonia symptoms in children under five are fever, cough, and fast or difficult breathing but fever, however, is not very specific, as it occurs in many other common illnesses, and may be absent in those with severe disease or malnutrition. But frequent bouts of pneumonia can be a serious complication of a long-term (chronic) illness, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Drink plenty of nonalcoholic fluids to stay hydrated because this helps your body fight the pneumonia. Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lung, usually caused by an infection. Diagnostic tools include x-rays and examination of the sputum. Body temperature tells the producer which way to proceed treatment-wise.
